Pastor Ken Reporting – Sept 28, 2017

This is going to be an amazing Sabbath! Friday evening we will be having an Agape Communion, Sabbath morning I am beginning my six part series on the Sanctuary, and to close the Sabbath off I truly hope to see you at Riverside Chapel Seventh-day Adventist Church for an amazing event that will hopefully bring together all the Adventist churches in Nashville called Imagine Nashville. I really want to urge you to make every effort to be at Riverside…I think it will be an amazing spiritual event and potentially the beginning of something you will be proud to have been a part of.

As I mentioned above, we are having an Agape Communion this Friday evening. It will be a wonderful way to start off the Sabbath and I hope you will bring the whole family to experience a simple communion service together as a family. There will be a very light meal followed by the ordinance of humility (footwashing) and communion. The agape communion begins at 6:30 pm in the church fellowship hall.

The Lord says: “My people, I promise to give you my Spirit and my message. These will be my gifts to you and your families forever. I, the Lord, have spoken.
Isaiah 59:21 (CEV)

Have you ever stopped to think about what an amazing gift God’s Spirit and His message is? When you look around a chaotic world it should be fairly evident that without God’s Spirit and God’s message society’s deteriorate and things go horribly wrong. The truth is that if the whole world followed God’s message and allowed His Spirit to work we would be back to the Garden of Eden. So if God has given us these gifts it is our responsibility to let others know about the gifts God wants to give them. Make it a point this week to pass on what has been freely given to you.

Don’t forget to live our mission statement to love God, love people, and serve the world!

God’s blessings,

Ken Wetmore
Senior Pastor
