Pastor Ken Reporting – November 24, 2017

I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving! My family did. Rachelle’s parents and sister and her family joined us. We had a really nice time. Topping off my good Thanksgiving was a Washington Redskins win. If you are a Giants fan…well, I hope you still had a great Thanksgiving!

One Big Thing: Holiday Opportunities

We have a great series of church services and programs planned for you this Christmas Season. Our very own, Madison Academy, will start things off with a fantastic Christmas program on Sabbath, December 2. On December 9, we have our annual Christmas brunch followed by the Christmas play during our normal 2nd service time and then an afternoon showing that is great for guests and friends. December 16 and 23 I will be doing a two part series called, “Senior Moments.” The two part series will first examine the story of Zechariah and Elizabeth and then examine the story of Simeon and Anna. We’ll see how we never get to old to serve Jesus and how everyone has a part to play in God’s great story. On December 16 we will be having our annual Christmas Concert at 5 p.m. This is another wonderful event you will want to invite your friends and neighbors to attend with you. Remember, this is the time of year where people are open to visiting our church so please take the time to help Madison Campus live its mission to love God, love people, and serve the world.

Devotional Thought

For they  have refreshed my spirit and yours. Therefore  acknowledge such men.
                                1 Corinthians 16:18 (NASB)
What were you thankful for this Thanksgiving? Who were you thankful for? Have you told them. Take a minute to send a text, email, or note to express how much you appreciate someone who has made a difference in your life this year. Tell them specifically how you have seen Jesus use them.
Don’t forget to live our mission statement to love God, love people, and serve the world!
God’s blessings,

Ken Wetmore
